I have a poetry feature tonight, in Everett, at Zippy's Java Lounge. And I did some math, shocking I know, and realized that my Seattle friends all live approximately "not that far" from Everett. So. You should come see me tonight, at 7:00 PM, for free. All of my other friends should to, but I haven't quite figured out the math equation for how far it is from bellingham to Everett, in terms of "Not that far" to "Super annoying way out of the way".
Hey everyone, I know you may have already seen this, since I put it on my myspace and what not, but in case I missed anyone....
Hey Everyone!
There is going to be a sweet poetry show tomorrow, featuring the one and only Derrick Brown (www.myspace.com/brownpoetry)! I am opening for him along with Rob Stauffer of the Love Lights.
It is going to be so awesome.
The show is going to be at The Darkroom, (310 West Champion St), it starts at 8:00 PM. $5 for general admission, $3 for students with ID.
To everyone. Every person who is lonely, and depressed. To everyone who wants love but can't have it. Who's getting drunk instead of getting better. Guys....Here's the thing. I know what you all need. I know what will make it all better. And it's a little album called, "Lady Soul" by Aretha Franklin. Just listen to it, maybe six times. I promise, you'll understand everything once it's over.
Hello! Next quarter I am taking a class on post-apocalyptic literature, and I am wondering if any of you have some of the books I need, and would be willing to let me borrow them. They are:
Cities of the Red Night by William S. Burroughs Wasteland: Stories of the Apocalypse by Steven King, et. all The Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler Day by Day Armageddon by J.L. Bourne Riddley Walker by Russel Hoban
and finally, Imaginative Writing by Janet Burroway Microfiction by Jerome Stern
If any of you have any of these that you might be willing to part with for a quarter, I would be very appreciative. Thanks so much! Jessica
